About Rachel

Rachel Bowen is a pharmacist, as well as a writer, who grew up in Maryland and currently lives in Missouri with her husband and baby boy. She’s a proud Hufflepuff who loves soft blankets, old books, and all things Fall. Yoga is a healthy obsession of hers as is karaoke. She always falls in love with TV shows that never get picked up for a second season.

Reading and writing have always been her escape. Her love for creating new worlds started with reading about them in her favorite childhood and adolescent books (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and pretty much anything by Meg Cabot or Sarah Dessen).

Her love for romance started with Disney, which taught her all love stories should end with a Happily Ever After. Her love for love was further fueled by cheesy rom-coms (both book and movie forms).

She is a discovery writer who brainstorms loose plot points and enjoys uncovering the story and her characters as she writes.

Her interests outside of writing include: yoga, everything Disney related, Superhero movies, binge watching cop TV shows and game shows, photography, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
